A New Chapter in Cross-Border Innovation and Youth Empowerment
Elpis Labs was honored to be invited to Uzbekistan by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, under the leadership of Alisher Sadullaev and Vice Mayor of Tashkent, Durdona Rakhimova, to explore ways to bridge global innovation opportunities with Uzbekistan’s rising generation — particularly through connections to New York City.
From the moment we arrived, we were met with exceptional hospitality and inspired by the dynamic energy of the local ecosystem.
Our visit included meetings with national and city leadership, engaging conversations with pioneering founders, and firsthand exposure to the country’s rapidly evolving startup and venture capital landscape.
We are especially grateful to Abdulaziz Suyarov for making this experience possible, as well as to our enthusiastic youth guide Durdona Akhadova and the dedicated team at the Ministry, including Aygul Minbaeva, whose passion for innovation was evident throughout.
This trip reaffirmed our belief that Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem is entering a new era — and we’re excited to play a role in supporting its momentum.
