Building Bridges: Elpis Labs Joins High-Level U.S.–Central Asia Business Dialogue

Elpis Labs had the privilege to be directly represented during one of the key engagements of the Central Asian delegations’ visit to Washington, D.C., as Anastasia Lykova Allan took part in a high-level meeting with the U.S. business community and the President of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

For our team, this conversation offered a firsthand look at how regional leaders and U.S. stakeholders are thinking about collaboration, economic development, and new opportunities for cross-border business. It was a moment where diplomacy, entrepreneurship, and long-term vision met around the same table.

A Room Where Real Dialogue Happened

The gathering brought together delegations from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, alongside U.S. officials and private-sector leaders.

From discussions on business climate and global competitiveness to questions about investment, innovation, and collaboration, the tone was open, practical, and future-focused.

For Elpis Labs, being part of this specific meeting meant engaging directly with the conversations that will shape how businesses from the region connect with the U.S. market.

A Shared Goal: Bringing More Central Asian Businesses to New York

One of the most energizing themes of the evening was the intention to bring more businesses from the region — particularly Uzbekistan — to New York to explore partnerships, investment opportunities, and market expansion.

This aligns closely with the work Elpis Labs carries out every day: helping international founders navigate U.S. entry, build relationships, and find the right pathways into the American innovation ecosystem.

Hearing this priority articulated at a diplomatic level reinforced the momentum we already see among founders and operators looking outward.

Why Engagements Like This Matter

For Central Asian entrepreneurs, visibility in rooms like this is more than symbolic.

It signals:

  • expanding interest from U.S. companies and investors,

  • growing opportunities for collaboration,

  • and stronger institutional support for cross-border business development.

For the U.S. ecosystem, it opens new avenues to engage with emerging markets that combine technical talent, evolving regulatory environments, and growing innovation capacity.

Elpis Labs’ Perspective

Representing Elpis Labs in this setting was a meaningful reminder of why our work matters. Supporting founders isn’t only about accelerators and market-entry strategies — it’s also about showing up in the spaces where long-term relationships begin.

We’re excited to continue helping companies from across Uzbekistan and the wider Central Asian region explore the U.S. market and build partnerships that last.

Looking Ahead

As conversations continue, so do the opportunities. This engagement set the stage for deeper cooperation, stronger business ties, and a clearer bridge between Central Asia and the U.S.

We are grateful to have been part of this moment — and ready for what comes next.
